How To Use Speak2 Family
As shown in the video, there are many features in the Speak2 Family App that you and your family can use to care for your elderly loved ones. For example, families can:
Send Messages
You can send text or voice messages to your aging loved one through the Speak2 Family App. For example, you can say, “Hey, mom! The kids and I are thinking about coming by for dinner Thursday night. Can we come?” Then, Alexa will read this message to the senior Speak2 User. The user can then respond to your message saying, “Yes! Thursday sounds great. Can’t wait to see everyone!”
Respond to Requests
You can respond to requests the senior Speak2 User sends with their Alexa device. For instance, the senior user might say, “I need to go to the eye doctor Tuesday at 9:00 AM. Can anyone take me?” This request is often used for seniors who wish to age in place but can no longer drive. Despite this challenge, Speak2 will make it easy for you and your family to care for your elderly loved one. This request will show a notification in your Speak2 App. You can then claim the request from your mobile device, letting other family members and your elderly loved one know you can fill the request.
Monitor Activity
Another feature you can use to care for your elderly loved one is the monitor activity feature. For example, when a caretaker arrives at your elderly loved one’s home, they can tell Alexa, “My caretaker has arrived!” This activity will then appear on your Speak2 App. Furthermore, giving you and the senior user peace of mind that your elderly loved one is safe and cared for.
